For Immediate Release:
Los Angeles, CA – Few people in the entertainment industry can claim to have been part of a legendary era in any of the major areas, let alone more than one. For rapper and actress Lady of Rage, it’s an accomplishment well worth celebrating.
She was an integral feature on both of the classic “The Chronic” albums released by Dr. Dre, adding her fierce vocals and lyrical presence to albums that will forever be regarded as some of the best in rap history. As a member of Death Row Records during its peak, she appeared on a number of the label’s hits including her own immensely popular “Afro Puffs” single.
It’s notoriously difficult for female MCs to find staying power in Hip-Hop, but Rage made it look easy. Even though she cemented her place as one of the best female rappers to ever pick up a microphone with her tenacity over beats, she was just getting started showing the world her many skills.
She made a successful transition to acting, garnering memorable roles in major releases like Ice Cube’s “Next Friday” and the hit television series “The Steve Harvey Show.” She’s also secured a role in an upcoming movie with Queen Latifah.
Whether it’s on television, the big screen or through music she’s made a lasting impression, taking part in award show tributes alongside other female legends like MC Lyte, Yo-Yo and Salt-N-Pepa as well as major tours and concerts.
One of her most recent displays of skill was over the extremely popular Snoop Dogg song “I Wanna Rock” where she teamed up with Snoop and Lil Kim for the Queens mix, which you can download below.
